Terms of Service

1. About Hesabu Pro

Hesabu Pro is a cloud-connected accounting and business management platform developed by Novara Software, designed for small and medium businesses in East Africa and beyond — including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Zanzibar, with tax engines for additional supported countries.

The platform includes POS sales, inventory, expense tracking, invoicing, payroll, banking, tax reporting, financial statements, team seats, and optional multi-branch company sites. Hesabu Pro is offered as Full Pro (all modules) or Mini packages (a focused subset of modules billed monthly).

2. Eligibility

By using Hesabu Pro, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into these terms on behalf of yourself or your business, and will use the platform in compliance with all applicable laws in your country.

3. Subscription Plans

Hesabu Pro is available under the following plan types. Current prices are shown in your local currency on the Upgrade page:

• Full Pro — Annual — billed once per year; renews annually. Best value. Required for extra company branch slots in supported markets (Tanzania first).
• Full Pro — Lifetime — a one-time payment for permanent Full Pro access.
• Mini POS, Mini Invoicing, Mini Business — billed monthly; unlocks only the modules included in that Mini package. You may upgrade to Full Pro at any time.
• Team seats — billed yearly per seat for Human Resources, Cashier, or Branch Manager roles. The first Accountant seat is free.
• Branch slots — billed yearly per extra company site. HQ (your primary site) is included free. Extra branches require Annual Full Pro plus a paid slot (Tanzania first; other markets as shown on Upgrade).

Prices are displayed in Tanzanian Shillings (TSh), Kenyan Shillings (KSh), Ugandan Shillings (USh), or other local currencies depending on your market. Legacy monthly Full Pro licenses may still exist for existing customers but are no longer sold to new customers.

4. Payment

Payments are processed through authorised payment providers. By completing a payment, you authorise Novara Software to charge the applicable fee for your selected plan, seat, or branch slot.

• AzamPay — Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, Halopesa, and other mobile money rails for subscriptions, team seats, and branch slots where available. In Kenya, AzamPay may also provide a hosted Visa / Mastercard checkout page for eligible purchases.
• NMB bank deposit — manual bank deposit for Tanzania Annual Full Pro, Lifetime Full Pro, and branch-slot purchases. Access is activated after deposit confirmation.

Payment processors receive only the minimum information necessary to process a transaction (such as phone number, payment amount, or deposit reference). They do not receive access to your financial records inside Hesabu Pro.

Your subscription or add-on activates upon successful payment (or, for NMB deposits, upon confirmation). Mini plans and annual Full Pro renew at the start of each billing period unless cancelled. Lifetime plans do not renew.

5. Team Accounts & Company Branches

Each business has one Owner account (the main account). The Owner may invite team members with their own logins and role-based access — including Human Resources, Branch Manager, Cashier, and Accountant — through Settings → Team & Seats.

• The Owner is responsible for all invites, seat purchases, and billing for team members.
• Pinned roles (Human Resources, Cashier, Branch Manager) are assigned to one company branch and see only that site's data.
• Company branches are separate sites under one business. HQ is included free. Extra sites require Annual Full Pro plus a paid yearly branch slot.
• The Owner manages branches in Settings → Branches and is responsible for branch-slot purchases.

You must not share a single login among multiple people when team seats are available. Each user should have their own credentials.

6. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

This includes but is not limited to: change of mind, failure to use the service, or dissatisfaction with features. We encourage you to make use of the free 7-day trial to evaluate Hesabu Pro before purchasing a subscription.

7. Free Trial

New users may register on the Account page, confirm their email address, and access a free 7-day trial with the modules included in their selected plan. No credit card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial period, access to paid features will be restricted unless a subscription is purchased. Trial usage is limited to one trial per device.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Hesabu Pro only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Enter false, fraudulent, or misleading financial records
• Use the platform to facilitate money laundering or tax evasion
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the software
• Share account access with unauthorised parties or share one login among multiple users when team seats are available
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws in your country

9. Your Data

You retain full ownership of the financial data you enter into Hesabu Pro. We do not access, use, share, or sell your business data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

Hesabu Pro and Novara Software are not liable for any loss of data, business interruption, financial loss, or indirect damages arising from your use of the platform. The platform is provided as-is, and while we work hard to ensure reliability and accuracy, we make no guarantees that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.

It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of data entered and to maintain your own records and backups where required by law.

11. Account Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at info@novarasoftware.ai. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for any period already paid.

Novara Software reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service without prior notice or refund.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated terms will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Hesabu Pro after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
